TERA Sneak Peek Event Stalls

Today was a big day for gamers who were granted sneak peek access to TERA by picking up a special key. Sadly key holders have been stopped in their tracks due to technical issues on the servers. Bluehole and Frogster have been working on the problems for a number of hours and it appears that the servers are not coping that well with the amount of players trying to get on.

The official forums and login servers are down and the best place to get updates is via the TERA Europe Twitter. The download for the client was pretty big with a 23 Gig install so it’s a shame that these technical issues have cropped up. With any luck we’ll see it online at some point this weekend although it sounds like it could be delayed longer.

We’re currently not able to tell you, when the existing problems can be solved. Therefore we cannot tell you a new start date for the sneak peek event. We continue to work on a solution as fast as possible. Of course we want to make up for the lost time, this includes additional time for our sneak peek testers.

As soon as we actually can announce a new launch date for the sneak peek, we’ll inform you right away.

Again, we’re sorry for the inconvenience caused and we continue to work on fixing the current issues as fast as possible.

In a further update it appears there will be no servers live today (Saturday) and when asked about tomorrow the team replied with:

We’ll try to have everything ready for the 2nd day at least, We’ll inform you again tomorrow about the status.
