Mass Effect Trilogy’s PlayStation 3 Release Date Announced

For the first time in franchise history, starting on December 4, 2012 Mass Effect will be available for purchase in the PlayStation Store or at retailers in the Mass Effect Trilogy bundle.

In a post by BioWare’s External Producer, Ray Warden, he mentions that the PlayStation 3 version of the Mass Effect Trilogy will include all the DLCs for Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 integrated in the game. Whereas, Mass Effect 3 will “be as it originally shipped”. With that said, he also notes that the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the Trilogy will be unchanged. While the Xbox 360 will only include Mass Effect 2‘s Cerberus Network., PC players will be able to download Mass Effect‘s Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station free of charge.

The Mass Effect Trilogy will be available for purchase on the PC and Xbox 360 in North America on November 6, and in Europe on November 9. The PlayStation 3 release in North America will be on December 4, and in Europe on December 7.
