The much anticipated Free-to-Play option for Star Wars: The Old Republic has now been given a global launch date. Along with the launch of the v1.5 update, starting from November 15 players will have an option of playing Star Wars: The Old Republic up to level 50 free of charge.
While there is a list of restrictions for those who opt to go the F2P route, players who pay a subscription will be rewarded Cartel Coins to purchase special items. For current and players who subscribe on November 15, they will be granted all the Complimentary Cartel Coins listed on their player Cartel Coin leger page as well as a complimentary 250 Cartel Coins.
Returning players, those who have had accounts but cancelled, and players who have previous paid a monthly subscription fee but cancelled will be given a Prefered Status. If choosing the F2P route, these players will find that certain game restrictions are removed or greatly reduced.
